Matt spent the last two plus years handling a variety of transactions for Transact Capital Partners in the lower middle market, including the real estate related sales, valuations, and strategies. Prior to his joining Transact, Matt worked as a real estate portfolio manager at Atlantic Union Bank (formerly Xenith Bank). There he gained wide exposure to the commercial lending environment including underwriting, structuring terms, and managing client expectations.
Prior to the bank, he completed a work study with NVR Ryan Homes and served as a supervisor for 3 communities in the Richmond MSA. Matt is a U.S. Army veteran and served in the 1st Cavalry Division overseas. Matt has a B.A. in Economics and Commerce from Hampden-Sydney College and an MBA from William & Mary. He enjoys staying involved in the community and was the CFO for the local Veteran’s of Foreign Wars for the past 3 years and now works actively with Sportable’s kayaking program for the disabled.
